Blackout Poems

Blackout poetry is taking already existing literature and making your own poem by picking out certain words or phrases. This can simply be done by scratching out words or it can go beyond by creating imagery around the words. My peers and I were assigned to make a blackout poem from one of our assigned readings in my 3D art-making class. It was amazing to see the variety of ways that blackout poetry could be done.
